I hope you won't take offence at me saying that your images are 'charming'.
In English, the word can sometimes have derogatory undertones, suggesting that the thing in question is insipid, 'delightfully old-fashioned', or just too vapid to be assigned a more weighty epithet.
I, of course, am not using it in this way. Your photos charm me because they have as their subject the relics of a long-gone world, one that that clearly understood the value and pleasure of forms which refuse to be restricted by the dictates of mere functionality, forms that are proud to evoke child-like wonder and awe. Even when one understands the histories and ideologies that gave rise to such forms, there is still a residue of seductive excess that acts directly on our senses, awakens our subconscious, and titillates our desire for the purely aesthetic.
In this sense, you have charmed me - and many others, I'm sure
