Les butineuses de Dijon

Le miel est produit par les abeilles à partir du nectar des fleurs ou des secrétions issues des parties vivantes de plantes, qu'elles butinent, transforment, combinent avec des matières spécifiques propres, emmagasinent et laissent mûrir dans les rayons de la ruche. Il est difficile d'évaluer la production annuelle d'une abeille, mais on estime qu'une ruche produit 20 à 30 kg de miel par an pour une population moyenne de 30 000 abeilles. Le miel est un produit entièrement naturel qui se suffit à lui-même et ne contient aucun additif ni conservateur. Le miel est récolté liquide et se solidifie naturellement avec le temps et selon la température du lieu de conservation. Il est fortement utilisé en Bourgogne, on le trouve dans le pain d'épices, dans certaines moutardes, dans des liqueurs, et dans de nombreuses recettes.

It is difficult to evaluate the annual production of a bee, but one estimates that a hive produced 20 at 30 kg of honey per annum for an average population of 30.000 bees. Honey is an entirely natural product which is sufficed for itself and any additive nor conservative does not contain. Honey is collected liquid and is solidified naturally with the time and according to the temperature of the place of conservation. It is strongly used in Burgundy, you can find it in the gingerbread, some mustards, liquors, and many recipe.

beautiful macro shot and such a wonderful post on honey. I use honey as a substitute for sugar when I have my coffee. It compliments the aroma of a good brew.

I love honey and it's an important
ingredient of my meals .Usually I mixed honey with vinegar and my salads are great!
It is good as mask for the face too...With this mask I look 39 years 7 months and 3 days younger! ( drollery )

Very instructive. I didn't know some details, and I'm glad to learn them.
Everything I know about bees is this.
There is a flower, and there's this bee. The bee, hovers around the flower at first.
Then, they make contact, and then have a baby.
